This was a fantastic event that we did on October 1. We had great success in talking to students interested in growing their own fruits and vegetables to reduce their carbon foot print. Check out some of the other companies and campus awareness groups that were there with us!
We are excited to get this thing rockin’! We purchased a 20′ by 12′ NFT system from American Hydroponics. This thing is sweet! Has a maximum output of 288 plants per week. Our concentration is going to be on leafy greens and culinary herbs as this is what the system was designed for. (We will get more into the NFT systems and how they work very soon.) Look for us at local farmer’s markets soon! Stay tuned for pictures. We should have it in this week and will start setting it up asap and post pictures the whole way through!!!
We are very excited about getting this blog up and going so that we can keep everyone up to date of everything that is going on at East Coast Hydroponics & Organics. I look forward to hearing what you all have to say about different featured products, the successes of your garden, and all that you do to help promote a more sustainable future for all of us. Please feel free to write in to echoblog@eastcoasthydro.com if you have any troubles with the site or you have a topic that you would like to see us cover.
Happy gardening and I look forward to hearing from you all soon!
